A rugged but comfortable waterproof wellie, the Tay is the ideal boot. The Tay features full bootie construction, breathable Airmesh™ lining throughout and a supportive contoured footbed. Extra rubber underlays and a crush-resistant toe offer added protection for a variety of climates and conditions. The secret of Muck Boot's effectiveness is their self-insulating waterproof bootie, made from the same material as a maritime survival suit. This neoprene bootie, insulates the foot and lower leg, keeping you far warmer and drier than ordinary wellies without the need for thick socks. They are perfect for fishing, shooting, gardening, ATV / quad bike riding and even for sailing since they are non-slip.

A heavy duty welly, with a wide tread anti clog sole, it is recommended for muddy conditions, and rough going! One of the most comfortable muck boots, it's contoured footbed and shock-absorbent cushioning gives unrivalled support on uneven surfaces, and makes it easy to wear for long periods. With its ridged toe reinforcement and the high rubber covering on the leg the Tay is a useful boot to wear on cold shooting days in rough cover, toiling through sticky mud or across unlevel ground.
Would recommend the addition of a Yaktrax foot grid for use on smooth, slippery ice and packed snow.

These boots are not a general all purpose boot, they are specialist Wellingtons designed exclusively to combat wet, muddy, cold field conditions, boots made with the shooter, game keeper and fisherman firmly in mind.
The two models are the ‘Spey’ (camo topped) and the ‘Tay’ (plain green topped). Both models have the same chunky sole which is cut along the same lines as agricultural tractor tyres, using large blocks of solid rubber to bite into the ground with fierce tenacity providing exceptional traction on wet grass and in muddy conditions.
Just like the specialist off road tyres of a Land Rover this sole does not perform well on smooth surfaces like tarmac and concrete, simply because it is not a dual purpose boot but a full bloodied field boot. The sole also provides a good level of bounce to the step and more than adequate protection. The top half of the Spey and top third of the Tay is made from thick neoprene, this makes the boots light, flexible and tactile.
They are both 100% waterproof and have a high-tec breathable inner lining that prevents the feet from sweating even under hard physical labour. The main difference between these boots is the level of thermal insulation. They are both very cosy but the ‘Spey’ model is the warmest, a real winter beater being able to cope with temperatures down to -50! And yet are smart enough to wear on the most prestigious pheasant shoot.
